Converting your Instagram account to a business account
Take the hassle out of managing your Instagram account by letting Social Scheduler publish your content for you. Switch your Instagram account from a "personal" or "creator" account to a "business" account to take advantage of the wide range of tools available to businesses on Instagram.
Instagram business accounts are optimized for businesses, providing you and your audience with an array of features that are not available on personal or creator accounts. Your followers can get a quick and comprehensive view of your offerings, contact information, business hours, and latest news. As a business account, you'll have access to call-to-action (CTA) buttons, direct scheduling, and automatic publishing through third-party tools like Social Scheduler, in addition to analytics and engagement tools.
Connect your Instagram account to Facebook page
To associate your Instagram account with a Facebook Page, go to Facebook and locate the list of Pages that you have access to. You can also use this link to navigate directly to the list. Select the Page that you wish to link to your Instagram account, or create a new Page if you don't have an existing one.
To link your Instagram business account to a Facebook Page, you need to have admin access to that particular Page.
Once you're in your Page, click Settings in the left hand sidebar.
On the left side of the screen, find and press the Instagram option. Then, towards the top of the screen, click the button that says "Connect Account".
Type in your username and password for Instagram, then press the button that says "Log In". If you are already signed in or have saved your login information, just click the button that says "Continue".
A window will appear asking you to create your Instagram business account. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen and make sure you enter your contact information. Once you're finished, click on the "Done" button.
If you don't see a window appear like the one shown in the picture, look for the "Get Started" button at the top of the page. If you can't find that either, you can try using the Instagram app on your phone instead by following these steps:
Open the Instagram app on your phone and go to the Settings menu.
Tap on the "Account" option.
Tap on "Switch to Professional Account".
Follow the instructions on the screen and make sure you choose the "business account" option, not the "creator account" option. You will also need to select a Facebook Page to link your Instagram business account to. If you don't connect a Facebook Page, you won't be able to connect your account to Social Scheduler.
After completing the steps, your Instagram account should now be converted into a business account.
